The star tetrahedron, also known as the stellated octahedron, or "stella octangula," shares the same vertex arrangement as the cube.
ReplyDeleteWhen the faces of a regular octahedron are exchanged for vertices (and conversely), the cube results. This is called a 'reciprocal' or 'dual' relationship. The diagram above depicts a geometrical connection between these three.
